I am scheduled to teach the regular class today along with Paul. So, I will leave lots for the regular class (Sente Kata for the tournament and sparring). So, in the BBC class, we will do some more of the hip movement drills and pencil drills. We will see if there have been any improvements on Testing Kihon. Osu.

Thanks for showing up, and good job! Here are some comments:
Pallavi: Glad that you now are certain of the 27 counts of the kata, Enpi. About the front leg front kick, try to thrust the hip flexor of the kicking side more to the front. (Although it may retreat a bit when you raise the foot up, push it back forward when you kick). Thanks for working with Ana during the kimite drills. When free spar, avoid using kicking techniques when they are obviously not reaching the opponent. It is just a waste of energy.
Andrey: Nice combinations during the kumite drills. Still having relaxed foot when kicking and snapping back. Work on more dynamic hip movement for the pencil test.
Reto:Nice try on relaxing during the kumite drills. Work on "getting in" when attack. Also work on covering distance when slide in.
Ana: Nice correction on Maeashi Maegeri & Ushiroashi Maegeri (Front leg front kick & back leg front kick) by trying not to tilt the kicking side's hip. Now, try to thrust more the kicking side of the hip to execute Maeashi Maegeri.
Dima: Nice work on the pencil test. Work on closing the distance to paper thin. During the wall punching drill and kihon (Kizami Zuki and Gyaku Zuki), try to straighten the back leg to push the hip forward.

Thank you for the comments Senpai Hiroko, I will try hard to relax and at the same time get in. I want to hit, not get hit, so I have to be fast and get in, Oss!
